North ties for fifth

ZIONSVILLE — Columbus North tied for fifth out of 14 teams in Tuesday’s Zionsville Invitational at Golf Club of Indiana in its final tuneup for Friday’s Greensburg Sectional.

No. 4 Bloomington South won with a 290. No. 1 Westfield finished second with a 293, followed by No. 7 Zionsville (295), No. 10 Carmel (304), No. 14 North and No. 2 Hamilton Southeastern (both 312) and No. 11 Brebeuf Jesuit (313).

John Merritt led the Bull Dogs with a 74. Brady Schneider carded a 77, Tyler Wilks added an 88, Willy Davis shot 83 and Jack Schiavello had an 84.

East takes fourth

NOBLESVILLE — Columbus East finished fourth out of 10 teams in the Fishers Invitational at Purgatory in its final tuneup for Friday’s sectional.

No. 2 Hamilton Southeastern won with a 296. Fishers finished second at 307, folowed by Tipton (315) and East (318).

Carter Greene led the Olympians with a 77. Ben Luedeke and Spencer Erfmeier each shot 80, Pierce Arnholt added an 81 and Jamall Starks had a 92.

Eagles top Patriots

NASHVILLE — Brown County closed the regular season with a 370-395 win against Owen Valley at Salt Creek.

Clay Austin led the Eagles with an 83. Wesley Arndt carded an 87, Liam Cassiday added a 97, Jon Kirchhofer shot 103, Bradley Arndt had a 106 and Will Hiatt finished with a 116.
