Hope celebrates an ‘old-fashioned’ Independence Day

HOPE — Hope celebrated July 4th with its annual Old-Fashioned Independence Day celebration in the Hope Town Square on Friday.

Among the events were a pie baking contest, kids’ parade of decorated bikes, tricycles, strollers and wagons, and the Little Miss and Mr. Firecracker Contest.

The Yellow Trail Museum served ice cream floats. Pony rides, a balloon man and face painting were also available.

Fireworks capped off the celebration at dusk.
