COLUMBUS
Todd Anthony Carr, 58, of Columbus, Indiana, died on June 30, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer.
Todd was born December 31, 1964, at Columbus Regional Hospital to parents Wilbert & Shirley (Gaffney) Carr.
Todd graduated from Columbus North High School in 1983. He loved sports growing up and excelled in basketball and baseball. After school Todd worked for several local businesses before starting his own company, “Hire a Husband Handyman Service,” in 2004.
He is survived by his children Corey (Kristin) Carr, Jessica Carr, and Courtney (Jacob) Westgerdes. his Grandkids; Carter, Cameron, Mattix, Hayden, Ellie, and Joey, and two more on the way, his parents; Wilbert and Shirley Carr; brothers; Jeff (Sharron) Carr and Michael (Mike) Carr.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Cashton James Westgerdes, and his grandparents Frank Carr, Ebbie Carr, William Gaffney, and Marguerite Gaffney.
Calling hours will be held at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home on Monday, July 3, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 am at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Howard Bowels officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial donations to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana through the funeral home.
