“My ball striking was incredible. I hit it so good today, but I got nothing out of it. I probably hit it within 15 feet probably on eight holes, and I only made one birdie from out of all that,” Herron said. “It was painful from a scoring perspective, but that makes me optimistic going into the rest of the tournament. I hit a couple of mental errors today. I made two doubles that were three-putt doubles, so that doesn’t ever help your score.”

“Golf is hard, and I just had one of those days where a couple rounds that I haven’t been playing my greatest,” Munnicha said. “I’m glad I have my dad on the bag. Golf is golf, so hopefully I get two better rounds (today) and Friday. I’m just excited to be here at home. I know what I’m capable of, and it definitely didn’t show today, but it was fun, still.”
