Walkoff homer in 8th sends Panthers past North

NORTH VERNON — Jillian Brauer hit a two-run walkoff home run with two out in the bottom of the eighth inning Tuesday to give Jennings County a 6-4 softball win against Columbus North.

Brauer went 2 for 5 for the Panthers (12-14). Kenzie Matern threw a nine-hitter.

The Bull Dogs (11-11) outhit Jennings 9-6. Morgan Jarvis and Kelsey Lovelace each went 2 for 3, Miley McClellan went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs and Summer Williams went 2 for 4. Bailee Scruggs and Peyton Morris combined on a six-hitter.
