GARY — IU Columbus was tied with IU Northwest 1-1 at halftime Friday, but IU Northwest scored twice in the second half to hand the Crimson Pride their first loss of the season, a 3-2 setback.
Columbus North graduate Alejandro “Pollo” Alvarez and Hermon Rendon scored the goals for IUC (2-1).
The Cromson Pride outshot IU Northwest 12-8. Jacob Kasarda recorded three saves.
