SEYMOUR — Columbus East fell to Seymour 5-0 Friday in a battle for fifth place in the boys tennis Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament.
Erik Takahashi fell to Joe Schmidt 3-6, 6-2, (13-11) at No. 1 singles, Brady Redelman lost to Parker Thompson 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Tyler Ernst fell to Carter Stein 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles for the Olympians (6-15).
East’s Trevor Ernst and Ethan Bumbalough lost to Shun Takeucki 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Owen Kirk and Henry Ulrich fell to Drew Handloser and Xavier DuBois 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
