Toyota Material Handling to receive Community Impact Award from Indiana Manufacturers Association

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Manufacturers Association will host the Indiana Manufacturers Hall of Fame Luncheon Oct. 18, where Toyota Material Handling, headquartered in Columbus, will receive the Community Impact Award.

The event is held to celebrate and recognize positive achievements made by the Indiana manufacturing community, and to honor the commitment toward innovative thinking, community involvement and leadership.

This year’s keynote speaker is Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb.

In addition to Toyota’s 2023 Manufacturing Excellence Award for Community Impact, other winners to be honored are:

  • Emerging Leader Award: Matthew Hendey, THG Automation, Indianapolis
  • Innovation Excellence Award: Grote Industries, Inc., Madison
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Jim Tuerk, Aero Industries, Indianapolis; and
  • David Snow of Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Lafayette
  • Manufacturing Talent Champion Award: Eli Lilly & Company, Indianapolis
