Cartoonist and artist Andy J. Miller, a native of Columbus, created a dream-like and playful mural inspired by local children’s art on one of the walls at kidscommons children’s museum in 2013.

Columbus Parks and Recreation Department began an inventory of all ash trees in city parks and on other city properties, expanding its work against the likely infestation of the emerald ash borer at a cost that could reach as much as $300,000.

After receiving much information from proponents and opponents alike, the county plan commission reversed it’s previous decision and voted 5-3 to rezone 117 acres on State Road 46 east of Peterville for the site of a sanitary landfill.
