These 3- and 4-year-old-pre-schoolers at Penny Lane School learned about fire trucks, firemen’s clothing (and hats!) as well as fire hoses during Fire Prevention Week presentations by Columbus Fire Department in 1973.

In high school soccer, Columbus East girls secured a berth at the semi state by winning their regional game against New Castle 3-0 and Columbus North boys were also headed to semi-state competition after beating East Central 1-0 in regional play.
