EDINBURGH
Robert L. Ford, 88, of Edinburgh, died at 2:40 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital, on December 6, 2023.
Bobby was born November 26, 1935, the son of Charles Mayfield Ford and Chole Allendar Ford. He married Nenita Montealto in 2005. She survives.
Bobby was a very good man and a loving husband. He enjoyed hunting deer and working in his flower and vegetable gardens. He loved his little dog, “CHA CHA”. He was a wonderful family man, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Hampton officiating. Calling will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023, and one hour before the service on Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Nenita; a son, Charlie (Angie) Ford of Columbus; daughters, Becky (Tim) Roberts, of Edinburgh, and Jodi (Joe) Reinhard, of Marion, IL; and a sister, Betty Jean Sears of Edinburgh; several nieces and nephews, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Tony Ford, and his siblings, Leon, Chester, Paul, Wayne, Carl, Richard, Charlene, Mabel, Geneva, Virginia, Irene, and Rose Mary Ford.
