Columbus City Council’s next meeting has been moved up from Tuesday, Dec. 19 to Monday, Dec. 18.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in Columbus City Hall, officials said. Council meetings can also be livestreamed at columbus.in.gov/video/live-streaming/.
There are three items on the agenda:
- Confirmation of changes to the city’s zoning ordinance, including regulations for commercial solar facilities.
- The second reading of an ordinance authorizing a $5.8 million forgivable loan from the Columbus Redevelopment Commission to developer Flaherty & Collins to help fund a mixed-use project at Sixth and Washington streets downtown.
- A resolution providing for a transfer of $100 between categories in the aviation non-reverting fund to help cover increased sales tax on fuel sales.

This is City Council’s last meeting of the year. Its next meeting, scheduled for Jan. 2, will mark the start for a new, nine-member council made up of a mix of incumbents and newcomers elected in November.
