Large fire shuts down streets, train in Edinburgh

A large building fire has shut down roads in the heart of Edinburgh.

Multiple fire departments are responding to a fire at GMR (Group Metals Recycling), 111 N. Holland St. The business was not open when the fire broke out Friday, said Doyne Little, police chief.

State Road 252 is shut down from Main Street to Kyle Street. East Main Cross Street is also closed in the area, Little said.

Train traffic has been stopped as well, he said. The building is right next to the Louisville & Indiana railroad tracks.
