The Arc of Bartholomew County’s Always Ready For Chocolate fundraiser and awareness event will unfold from 1 to 4 p.m. today at The Commons, 300 Washington St. in downtown Columbus.
It’s all-you-can-eat treats — cakes, pies, pudding, cookies, you name it — for a $30 adult ticket or a $15 children’s ticket (ages 6 to 12) if purchased today.
Desserts from local vendors including Geri Girl Bakery, Lucabe Coffee Company, local non-profit providers, and many more will be available at the event, as well as live entertainment from local groups and artists, including Dancers Studio Inc., Albert Nolting, violinists, and Allie Jean. Also available will be an art show and auction featuring works by artists with disabilities.
VIP tickets are $50 and $25 for children ages 6-12. VIP tables, which include tickets for eight people, are also available. Direct support staff can enter the event for free if they are assisting a client, but may not sample desserts without a ticket.
