The IU Columbus baseball and softball teams both came away with losses on Sunday afternoon.
The baseball team dropped an 11-4 River States Conference decision to Point Park. Peyton Blinn went 2 for 4 with two doubles, and Lucas Slager went 2 for 4. Columbus East graduate Alex McComb went 1 for 1 with an RBI as a pinch hitter. Starting pitcher Drew Bradley took the loss.
The IUC softball team fell 4-2 and 3-0 in a doubleheader at IU Southeast on Sunday. Mallory Shelton went 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs in the opener. Starter Sydney Owens took the loss.
The Crimson Pride were held to four hits in the second game. Starter Erica Henry took the loss.
The baseball team (5-15, 1-3) will host a doubleheader with Point Park beginning at noon today. The softball team (0-6) will visit Midway (Kentucky) for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. today.
