Ava Speer, 68, of Elizabethtown passed away on March 19, 2024 at Columbus Regional Hospital from a sudden brain aneurysm.
Ava was born on June 22, 1955 to Ivan and Pauline Bond. She retired from Coca Cola. She played softball locally for many years.
Ava is survived by two daughters, Kimra (Ed) Sturgeon and Courtney (Kevin) Speer; her mother, Pauline Bond; sisters, Paula (Steve) Conrad, Lisa (Dennis) Moore, Eve (Jeff) Lucas, and Lori (Willie) Hudson; six grandchildren, Eli, Isabelle, Isaac, Blaine, Camden and Jackson; her companion, Brian Walls; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ava was preceded in death by a daughter, Shana Pauline Arnholt; and her father, Ivan Bond.
A funeral service for Ava will be held Saturday, March 23 at 4:30 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel 3729 25th Street with Pastor Marcus Speer officiating. Friends and family may gather for visitation from 12 pm to 4 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the local Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.
