COLUMBUS
Lea Baosithong, 73, of Columbus passed from this life on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 12:48 p.m. at his home.
Mr. Baosithong was born on May 6, 1950, in Vientiane, Laos the son of Sychenh and Pheng Phommachan. On April 28, 1979, he married Diane Khamla Khounsy.
Mr. Baosithong retired after 35 years from Enkei America where he was a lead mechanic in the Maintenance department. He was a former member of Asbury United Methodist Church and member of the Buddhist Temple in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Mr. Baosithong was a handyman and enjoyed taking care of his lawn.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Diane Baosithong of Columbus; children, Saoubon Peter Baosithong of Columbus, Lydia Soutsana (Jack) Watson of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Aiden Powell, Olyvia Powell, Isla Watson, Jadeyn Watson; siblings, Syphanh, Alex, Thip, Thie, Soukeseum, Saomone; and niece and nephew, David Baosithong and Judith Tallib.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024 at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 12:00 p.m. till time of service at the funeral home.
In keeping with Mr. Baosithong’s wishes cremation will take place following services.
