COLUMBUS
Robert C. Hoover, 84, of Columbus, IN, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Robert was born on April 3, 1940, in Ohio County, KY, to Archie D. Hoover and Della May Bartlett Hoover. He married Rose M. Huber on January 18, 1964.
Robert was a retired truck driver and member of the American Legion Post 24, VFW Post 1987, and Columbus Moose Lodge 398.
Private graveside services will be held at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Rose M. Hoover; children, Timothy Michael (Esta) Hoover of Cloverdale, IN, Jeffery Lynn (Jeanette) Hoover of Brownsburg, IN, John (Lisa) Long of Hope, IN and Anna Marie Long of Columbus, IN; sister, Alma (Ancil) Luttrell of Princeton, IN; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Della Hoover; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tim Schooley; brothers, Jay Hoover, Dalton Hoover, and Ron Hoover; sister, Zelma Brooks.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
