Harrel Delaine Frodge, 86, of Westport, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. He was born on March 28, 1937 in Edmonton, Kentucky the son of John W. and Zona P. (Harris) Frodge. He was born in Kentucky and was raised in the Westport area and graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1955. Delaine was a lifelong farmer. He worked for Cummins Engine Co. for 30 years as a production scheduler and was a school bus driver for 13 years for the Decatur County Community School Corporation. He was an original board member on the Westport Area Community Building and was an advisory board member for Sandcreek Township for 12 years. He attended the Ohio Chapel United Methodist Church in Columbus. He enjoyed golfing and traveling during his lifetime visiting 48 states. He married Glenna J. McGinn on July 8, 1955 in Westport. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2007. He then married Alice J. (Strahl) Settle on May 9, 2009 at the Ohio Chapel United Methodist Church in Columbus and she survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Teresa (Francis) Hoeing of Millhousen and Sherry (Randy) Smith of Westport; son, Gary Frodge of Westport; stepdaughter, Cami (Ben) Clift of Columbus; stepsons, Leonard (Weena) Settle of Columbus and Dan (Julie) Settle of Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 4 step grandchildren and 1 step great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Glenna; sister, Doris Smock; brothers, Moris Froedge &Carlos Frodge. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Bass &Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Dr. Robb Barlow officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
