2014

PMG Indiana opened a $23 million addition, adding a production line to manufacture oil pump parts for GMC Sierras and Chevrolet Silverados. The addition generated 25 new jobs in engineering and quality support for manufacturing lines.

1999

Columbus native Pfc. Michelle Scheible Hearn won the Army Finance Regiment’s Soldier of the Year award for her military occupational specialty — finance. Scheible was flown to Fort Jackson, S.C., and received her award there.

1974

A free ballet demonstration and class, presented by Dance Workshop, was held at the First United Presbyterian Church gymnasium. Dance Workshop was sponsored by the Driftwood Valley Arts Council.
