The Indiana Department of Transportation says the I-65 northbound and southbound rest areas at Taylorsville are now closed and at full capacity. These are the two rest areas in Bartholomew County off I-65.

Traffic reported normal throughout area as eclipse event approaches
COLUMBUS, Ind. — Law enforcement monitoring traffic cameras on I-65, State Road 46 and throughout Columbus report normal traffic flow with just a little bit of traffic pickup coming on to State Road 46 from the interstate.
I-65 and State Road 46 traffic is moving easily and officers are out on patrol throughout the city, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
