PMG Indiana pushed the button on its new production line to highlight the opening ceremony for the $23 million addition to its Columbus plant. The new line produced oil pump parts for GMC Sierras and Chevrolet Silverados.

1999

Columbus East’s tennis team won its first match, a 5-0 victory over Charlestown. Winning the Charlestown match for East were singles players Rebecca Morris, Jennifer Knoef and Dilhara Paranavitana.

1974

Three gospel singing groups — the Happy Goodman Family of Nashville, Tennessee, the Inspirations of North Carolina and the Melody Boys from the Columbus area — participated in a “new battle of songs” at the Columbus North Memorial Gymnasium.
