Playdate — 11 to 11:45 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 1-5 and their caregiver can drop in to play at the library during this unstructured social time. We will have activities and toys to build large motor and fine motor muscles.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 1444 — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mill Race Center, 50 Carl Miske Drive, Columbus. Weigh-in at 11:30 a.m., meeting at 12 to 1 p.m. Must be a member of Mill Race Center. For more information, call Deborah Grounds at 702-513-5183.

After School Special — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Relax after school with a movie. This month, we are watching “Titan A.E.”

Teen Watch-It Wednesday — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Celebrate National Poetry Month with this series of films about poets and writers. April 10’s movie is “Bright Star.”

Author Talk — 8 to 9 p.m., online. We cannot wait for you to join us as we chat with award-winning author Xochitl Gonzalez about her newest novel “Anita de Monte Laughs Last.”
