HOPE — It was the Paige McDainel show Friday at Hauser.
A night after combining with Haven Hartwell on a no-hitter, McDaniel fired a two-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts Friday to lead Hauser to a 10-0 five-inning Mid-Indiana Conference softball win against Waldron. McDaniel also went 2 for 2 with two triples and two RBIs at the plate for the Jets (4-3, 2-0).
In the meantime, McDaniel recorded her 500th career strikeout and tied the school record with her 65th career pitching victory.
Maley Jordan went 2 for 4 for Hauser.
