South Decatur sweeps Lancer invite; Hauser boys take second

EDINBURGH — South Decatur swept the boys and girls titles, and the Hauser boys finished second Friday night at Edinburgh’s Lancer Relays.

The Cougar boys scored 116 points to 102 for the Jets. Edinburgh finished sixth with 18.

The South Decatur girls scored 116 points to 82 for North Decatur and 72 for Hauser and Indy Genesis and 30 for the Lancers.

McKinley Shook won the 110-meter hurdles (15.77 seconds) to lead the Cougar boys. South Decatur also took the high jump (11 feet), discus (221-5), 4×100 (49.11), 4×400 (3:57.06) and shuttle hurdle (58.26) relays.

Hauser got wins from Colin Kistler in the 1,600 (4:52.88) and from its shot put (80-3), distance medley (12:15.34), 4×200 (1:47.80) and 4×800 (9:39.58) relays.

Edinburgh won the long jump relay (37-2).

For the girls, South Decatur’s Kiley Best won the 100 hurdles (17.11), and the Cougars took the high jump (9-0), long jump (27-9 1/2), 4×100 (54.03), 4×400 (4:41.20) and 4×100 shot put (59.65) relays.

Edinburgh’s Kenna Streeval won the 100 (12.68).
