Local man arrested on warrants, drug-related preliminary charges

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police arrested a local man sought on multiple warrants after he was located by officers Sunday night.

At about 8:45 p.m., officers were sent to a residence on North Hinman Steet about serving the warrants and located Ryan C. Lee, 31, of 72 N. Hinman St., Columbus, in the backyard of the residence, police said. He was detained without incident.

After officers confirmed there were five local warrants for Lee’s arrest, they also located a syringe and other drug paraphernalia that were in Lee’s possession, police said.

Lee was transported to the Bartholomew county Jail on preliminary charges of the five warrants, Level 6 felony possession of a syringe and Class C misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was being held without bond on a 48-hour hold, jail officials said.
