Edinburgh softball notches first win of season

MORRISTOWN — Edinburgh softball picked up its first win of the season Thursday, an 11-8 Mid-Hoosier Conference triumph at Morristown.

Eloise Cox and Kenna Streeval combined on a five-hitter for the Lancers (1-9, 1-5), who rallied from a 7-1 deficit after three innings. They combined to strike out eight and allowed only two earned runs.

Kyah Streeval went 2 for 4 with two doubles in her return from an injury to lead Edinburgh’s 19-hit attack. Kenna Streeval and Gracie Barrett each went 3 for 5; Alix Streeval went 2 for 4 with a double; Elizabeth Richardson Hernandez went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Cox, Lexi Riley and Lillie Goff all went 2 for 5 with two RBIs.
