NEW ALBANY — Jennings County led 2-1 after 4 1/2 innings Thursday, but New Albany scored five in the bottom of the fifth to claim a 6-2 Hoosier Hills Conference softball victory.
Maycie Ward went 2 for 3 for the Panthers (8-8, 2-1). Kenzie Matern, Abby McDonald and Jillian Brauer combined on an eight-hitter, with only two earned runs allowed.
