FRANKLIN
Doris S. Traylor, 92, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Franklin, Indiana on April 19, 2024.
Doris was born to Basil W. and Chelsea Oakes Seale in Ravenna, Kentucky, on June 30, 1931.
She graduated from Irvine High School and married Earl R. Traylor in 1949. She was a member of North Christian Church in Columbus, and had worked at Irwin Union Bank, Cummins Engine Company and Traylor Corporation and enjoyed playing bridge, reading, walking, knitting, and volunteering at the church and Love Chapel.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; daughter, Susan Greathouse; brothers, Basil E. and William L. Seale; and sisters, Sue Floyd and Beryl Hunt.
Survivors include her sons, Earl R. (Jackie) Jr and John D. Traylor; daughter, Karen (Garnie) Grise; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.
A graveside service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4th at Garland Brook Cemetery with Pastor Luke Maggard officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
