Columbus North senior football player Luke Revell is one of 14 seniors to receive the Scholar Athlete Award by the Central Indiana Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
Revell, an offensive lineman, has committed to continue his football career at Carleton College in Minnesota.
Softball, baseball draws set for Sunday
This year’s baseball and softball sectionals are less than a month away. Teams will know their way to the sectional crown when the IHSAA draws are announced Sunday. The draws will be streamed on ihsaatv.org with the softball draw starting at 7 p.m., followed by the baseball draw at 8 p.m.
In softball, Columbus East hosts a six-team Class 4A sectional that includes Columbus North. In Class 2A, Milan hosts a seven-team sectional that includes Hauser and Brown County.
In baseball, Shelbyville hosts a six-team sectional that includes East and North. In Class 2A, South Ripley hosts an eight-team sectional that includes Hauser and Brown County.
North girls hoops to hold youth camp
Columbus North girls basketball will hold its summer youth camp from May 28 to 31 at North High School.
Camp will be from 1 to 3 p.m. for incoming fifth-through-eighth-graders, with a cost of $75, and 3:30 to 5 p.m. for incoming second-through-fourth-graders, with a cost of $70. Campers will be instructed by North coach Brett White and his staff, along with college and high school players.
