Bull Dogs rally for ninth straight win

JEFFERSONVILLE — Class 4A co-No. 5 Columbus North trailed 3-0 after five innings Tuesday before scoring one in the sixth and four in the seventh to pull out a 5-3 win at Jeffersonville and run its winning streak to nine games.

Brock Kintner drew a bases-loaded walk, and Connor Hensley lifted a sacrifice fly in the seventh to tie the game. Zach McLean then smacked a two-run double to give the Bull Dogs (13-1) their first lead.

Sam Perry went 3 for 3 for North, which recorded eight hits. Hensley went 2 for 2.

Brock Kintner pitched a scoreless sixth to pick up the win in relief of Hensley and Ryan Rayburn. Javier Martinez Uscanga threw a scoreless seventh to earn the save.
