Whatever the Weather Storytime and Playdate — 11 to 11:30 a.m., Donner Park, 739 22nd St., Columbus. Join library staff us for a picnic- rain or shine. The library will provide drinks, cookies, stories and games. Please bring your own lunch and picnic blanket.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 1444 — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mill Race Center, 900 Lindsey St., Columbus. Weigh-in at 11:30 a.m., meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Must be a member of Mill Race Center. Call Karen Burbrink at 812-371-9616.

Author Talk — 3 to 4 p.m., online. New York Times Bestselling author Douglas Brunt is joining us online to chat about his debut nonfiction work, “The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel: Genius, Power, and Deception on the Eve of WWI.”

DIY Garden Stepping Stone — 3 to 5 p.m., Hope Branch Library, 635 Harrison St., Hope. Come out to Hope and join Shelly in making a Garden Stepping Stone with air dry clay, lentils, and beans. Great as a Mother’s day gift, or to put in your own garden.

Teen May Day Celebration — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Celebrate May Day with us as we re-wrap our maypole and enjoy treats and music.

Environmental Book Club — 6 to 7:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. After opening announcements from the WWG Executive Committee and audience participation sharing nature sightings, we will discuss environmental books that have resonated with us. Please check out a book from BCPL so that you can join us for a casual group discussion about climate and conservation.
