Bull Dog tennis blanks Patriots

No. 12-ranked Columbus North moved within one win of another perfect Conference Indiana girls tennis season with a 5-0 victory against Terre Haute North on Friday.

Kathryn Wilson blanked Becca Williams at No. 1 singles, and Aya Saad downed Haddie Parks at No. 2 singles, both by 6-0, 6-0 scores for the Bull Dogs (9-2, 4-0). Annabelle Sun beat Shelby Cesinger 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

Columbus North’s Lucy Bergman and Lizzie Bodart topped Rigley Irby and Hannah Wineinger 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. Grace Conner and Lison Cloteaux defeated Kenley Shoults and Aubrey Ervin 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

The Bull Dogs can finish unbeaten in the conference with a win against Terre Haute South on Tuesday in a match that will be played at Bloomington South.
