Eagles win pair of games

HANOVER — Brown County won a pair of softball games at Southwestern (Hanover) on Saturday, beating the host Rebels 5-2 and New Washington 16-3 in six innings.

Chloe Poling threw a four-hitter against Southwestern. Aubree Denton went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, and Gracelynn Wheeler went 2 for 3.

Ava Sanders threw a six-hitter with 12 strikeouts and went 5 for 5 with a triple and five RBIs in the win over New Washington. Lynsey Summers went 2 for 2, Reva Shugars went 2 for 4 with a double, Poling went 2 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs, Ally Hash went 2 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs and Lexie Austin went 2 for 5 with two RBIs for the Eagles (5-9).
