Seminar to cover aging ‘your way’

The Financial Literacy Coalition of Bartholomew County is offering a free seminar entitled “Age My Way: Don’t Leave It To Chance, Make Informed Decisions” on Thursday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mill Race Center, 900 Lindsey St..

Free transportation is available through Columbus Transit on established bus routes. Interested individuals should go to https://www.columbus.in.gov/columbus-transit/transit-map/ or call at 812-376-2506.

Topics include “Advanced Directives,” presented by Voelz, Reed, & Mount, “Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate?” presented by the Purdue Extension Office, “What’s in Your Medication Cabinet?” presented by ASAP, and “Having Fun in Retirement.”

WAW Planning and Investments will also offer a shredding event in the Mill Race Center Parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2. p.m., during the seminar.

Horizon Bank is providing a free lunch, and several agencies will be present to discuss favorite hobbies, volunteer opportunities and free programming that is offered throughout Bartholomew County.
