NORTH VERNON — Jennings County pulled out a 4-3 win against Bedford North Lawrence Monday in the opening round of the Hoosier Hills Conference baseball tournament.
Austin Byford and Cole Sigler combined on an eight-hitter for the Panthers (4-11). Byford also went 2 for 3 with two RBIs at the plate.
In Wednesday’s semifinals, Jennings will host the winner of the Columbus East at Floyd Central first-round game, which was postponed from Monday to Tuesday. The loser of the East-Floyd game will visit BNL.
