CARMEL — Class 4A No. 9 Columbus North dropped a pair of baseball games in Saturday’s Carmel Greyhound Invitational, falling to Lawrence North 6-2 and Cathedral 3-2.
Connor Hensley started on the mound against Lawrence North and pitched three scoreless innings, but the Wildcats reached the bullpen for six runs ove the next three innings. Jayce Emmitt went 2 for 4 with a double.
The Bull Dogs (17-7) outhit Cathedral 8-5. Brock Kintner went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Blake Osbourne, Emmitt and Lane Schrader combined on a five-hitter.
