Duncan tied for 63rd after first-round 71

FORT WORTH, Texas — Tyler Duncan carded a 1-over-par 71 in Thursday’s first round and is tied for 63rd place in the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Starting on the back nine, the Columbus North graduate shot 2-over-37 on his first nine and 1-under 34 on the front at Colonial Country Club. He had four bogeys and three birdies.

Charley Hoffman leads the tournament at 5-under 65. Five players are one shot back at 4-under 66.
