Air Force Airman James R. Kirkham graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. He earned distinction as an honor graduate.
Kirkham, a 2008 graduate of Jennings County High School, is the son of Angie and Eric Kirkham of North Vernon. He is the brother of Brianna Kirkham.
Kirkham completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
