A local man was arrested on a methamphetamine-related charge after a disturbance was reported in the 2700 block of Rosedale Drive.
Columbus Police were sent to that area at 5:07 p.m. Saturday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
When they arrived, they determined that Fidel T. Canales, 31, Columbus, had fled before they had arrived, Harris said. A short time later, they located Canales in the 3000 block of Rosewood lane where a warrant was confirmed for his arrest, Harris said.
As Canales was arrested, officers found methamphetamine in his clothing, Harris said.
Canales was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and the warrant, jail officials said.
