Police arrest two on local warrants

Columbus police arrested two men on Bartholomew County warrants after one of the men was observed wearing a mask while sitting in a vehicle.

Columbus police officer Ivan Shultz saw three men sitting in a vehicle in an alley near Ninth and California streets at 8:40 a.m. Monday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Officers identified a back-seat passenger as Winston C. Zink, 33, of 531 Della Road, and confirmed a warrant had been issued for his arrest, Harris said.

The front-seat passenger was wearing a mask and initially refused to identify himself, Harris said. Officers later identified him as Seth A. Banks, 23, of 418 1/2 Ninth St., and confirmed he also had a Bartholomew County warrant pending seeking his arrest.
