A local man was arrested on drug-related charges after he reportedly overdosed on narcotics inside his Columbus home.
Columbus police were called a a home in the 1000 block of Eighth Street about an unresponsive individual, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Officers administered naloxone and revived the man, who was later identified as Timothy S. Gilley, 43, Columbus, Harris said. While attending to Gilley, officers found drugs inside Gilley’s bedroom and later received a warrant to search the home for additional drugs, Harris said.
Officers found 19 syringes, marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the home, Harris said. Gilley was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance, Harris said.
Gilley was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for medical treatment and later transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.
