A robotics team made up of students from Columbus North and Columbus East high schools will compete this weekend during an event at Purdue University.
The Columbus team, GalacTech, will attend the Boiler Bot Battle today and Saturday at the France A. Cordova Recreational Sports Center, 355 N. Martin Jischke Drive, Lafayette.
The venue will be open 3 to 6 p.m. today for teams to load in their robots and to participate in practice rounds. An opening ceremony is 8 a.m. Saturday with qualification matches beginning at 8:30 a.m.
There is no charge to attend the event, which is open to the public.
