Class 4A No. 1 Carmel won its third boys basketball state title in the past eight years and its fourth overall Saturday with a 60-55 win against Ben Davis in the 4A state finals.
Freshman Pete Suder scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures for the Greyhounds (26-1). Jalen Windham led the Giants (20-7) with 22 points.
Class 3A
No. 6 Silver Creek captured its first state title with a 52-49 win against No. 3 Culver Academies.
Zane Gross led the Dragons (25-3) with 15 points. Ethan Brittain-Watts scored a game-high 23 to lead the Eagles (24-4).
Class 2A
No. 8 Linton led by six points with less than two minutes remaining, but No. 14 Andrean finished the game on an 11-0 run to pull out a 59-54 win to claim its first state title.
John Carrothers and Kyle Ross each scored 16 points to lead the Fighting 59ers (21-8). Tucker Hayes led the Miners (27-4) with 15.
Class A
No. 1 Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian jumped out to a 30-17 halftime lead and went on to beat No. 2 Barr-Reeve 60-43 for its first state championship.
Frank Davidson had 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Caleb Furst added 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Braves (28-2). Gabe Gladish led the Vikings (26-3) with 12 points.
