Around Town – March 26

• the Rev. Charles Aigner, for a wonderful funeral message on Friday morning.

• Emilee Whipker, a sophomore student at East High School, for speaking up about BCSC’s proposed block schedules for the high schools, because students deserve a voice in decisions that will affect them now and in the future.

• Allie and Frank Lee for their performance at the Harlequin theater, and other wonderful performances, from the Perrys.

• President Trump for staying strong in the face of unfounded allegations and always putting America first.

• Rhonda and Dana, for cat-sitting for me and doing various other chores around the house, from Betty Holder.

• Lisa and Taco, for the beautiful potted violet from your friend, Betty Holder.

Onions to …

• those who adhere to the political party once led by Abraham Lincoln, who no longer follow the principles of our Founding Fathers and the leader who established the New Testament.

• Democrats for supporting late-term abortion.

• the people who fly a hate Trump flag, but want respect themselves.

• the statehouse Republican majority who have resorted to the exact same watering-down tactic as Democrats in passing measures declining to specify biased and prejudicial acts or words.

• those for me not getting my mail until after 6:30 p.m. each day.

• the restaurant that advertises weekend specials on the sign but doesn’t honor them.

• the party in control of the House that will continue crying over the Mueller report.

• the person who fails to mention the yearly maintenance to solar panels, which cuts into the “free energy” notion.

• Democrats who do not recognize that “PC” is simply pernicious censorship.

• Democrats that harass people and will not leave them alone.

• elected city officials for a 50-percent cost overrun on a training facility to train firefighters from other cities, paid with our tax dollars.
