Ivy Tech hosts Cyber Academy information session
Ivy Tech Community College – Columbus will host a Cyber Academy Information Session from 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 16 at the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave., for prospective students to learn how they can earn a degree in the growing, high-demand cyber security field in less than one year.
The Ivy Tech Columbus Cyber Academy is an 11-month program housed at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Jennings County. The Muscatatuck Urban Training Center is operated by the Indiana National Guard and provides real-world training simulations.
Students attend class each week day to complete the intensive program. Upon completion, students earn an associate degree in cyber security and nationally recognized certifications. Cyber security students can look forward to careers that protect computer networks for businesses, organizations and the government.
The information session will offer an opportunity to learn about the Muscatatuck Cyber Academy and talk to instructors and current academy students.
