Thirty-five hundred visitors attended the annual Armed Forces Day open house at Bakalar Air Force Base which featured a flyover by a “Blue Canoe” U-3 aircraft, an air drop of heavy equipment from a C-119 “Flying Boxcar,” other air demonstrations and many Air Force planes on display.
