As Mayor Fred Armstrong proclaimed the day in honor of Zaharakos' re-opening, owner Tony Moravec tipped his hat to the thousands gathered on Washington Street to participate in a wide range of festivities in 2009.

2009

Thousands lined up for sundaes and sandwiches at the official re-opening of the Zaharakos Ice Cream Parlor and Museum.

1994

The Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center was unveiled with clowns, music, crafts and live entertainment at Lincoln Elementary School.

1969

The 59th annual Columbus Fair and Racing Carnival opened for seven days of rides, race track events of all sorts and other entertainment at the county fairgrounds on 25th Street.
