Carrie Davies has opened a new business, Geri Girl Bakery, at 1122 Union St. in Columbus.
The bakery is named after her mother, Geri Mortenson, who loved to bake. Davies most recently has been the baker at Tina’s Traditional Tea Room, which is closing.
Currently, the business is working from online orders 24 hours in advance at gerigirlbakery.com, according to Davies. Offerings include cakes, cookies, scones, pies and tarts, muffins, cupcakes, quiche and more.
Davies bakes for individual customers, but also does orders for groups and companies planning events and parties.
