NORTH VERNON — Jennings County won 12 of the 14 matches Thursday night in picking up a 65-9 win against Columbus North.

Jenn Ramirez (106), Kevin Lynch (132), Joey Moran (138), Sam Bennett (170), Crayton Morrison (195) and Blake Mitchell (285) all won by pin for the Panthers. Travis Waltermire (113), Evan Sochaki (120) and Teagan Trotter (160) won by forfeit.

Jennings’ Teagan Johnson (126) won by technical fall. Dathan Malone (145) and Cameron Woodard (182) won by decision.

The Bull Dogs’ Adam Behling (220) won by pin. Jared Slocum (152) won by decision.

Panthers stop East

Columbus East opened its home schedule with a 40-28 loss to Bloomington South.

Kade Law (152) and Shawn Tyler (220) won by pin for the Olympians. Xzharion Hernandez (113) won by forfeit.

Jets fall to Tigers

FAIRLAND — Class 2A No. 1 Triton Central was too much for Hauser in an 89-18 victory.

The Jets fell to 5-6.

Cubs rally past Panthers

MADISON — Jennings County led 20-14 after one quarter, but Madison rallied for a 66-52 Hoosier Hills Conference win.

Lily Ernstes led the Panthers (3-7, 1-4) with 19 points. Addyson Kent scored 16, and Kali Thompson added 11.

South Decatur wins

GREENSBURG — South Decatur picked up its second win of the season, a 59-35 decision against Indianapolis Scecina.

Lana Bell led the Cougars (2-10) with 19 points. Loryn Pate added 15.

Trinity routs Rebels

HANOVER — Class A No. 2 Trinity Lutheran had little trouble in rolling to a 69-47 win at Southwestern (Hanover).

The Cougars improved to 10-1.
